Looking current sales figures, anyone can assume quite conducive environment for Wii’s swelling sales. The latest numbers coming from VGChartz shows that in less than 9 months the Wii system has managed to sell over 10 million units, worldwide. The stats claim that the Wii has sold more than 10.03 million units within just 8 and a half months to make it the fastest selling console ever. However, the Xbox360 has managed to sell 10.32 million units i.e. trailing behind its nearest rival, Wii from about 290,000 units.

Certainly, high-paced rollercoaster is a growing threat to the record sales of the Xbox360s. It’s hardly a couple of weeks ago, when Wii crossed 9 million landmark and now it’s inclined to surpass Xbox360’s 10.32 million record following NDS’s at whopping 47.27 million.
