nintendo wii motion plus1

We all deal with rumors but occasionally we like to make things concrete. Nintendo recognizes this and has finally given a solid release to its Wii MotionPlus. The device will now hit the US stores on June 8 (European ones on June 12). And as a bonus, the first in-house game that’s supposed to take advantage of this motion control enhancing device, Wii Sports Resort has also been dated. This one’s coming out on July 26 (July 24 in Europe). The Wii MotionPlus will cost $19.99 per piece when it comes out. It acts as an appendage to the WiiMote, and increases the sensitivity of the device to an accuracy of about 1:1. Wii Sports Resort will come bundled with a single MotionPlus and the bundle will cost $49.99. Sports Resort contains a variety of minigames – jet skiing, fencing, and frisbee, to name a few – for the entire family to enjoy. That several third-party games that support MotionPlus have already been announced is a different matter altogether. But hey, this is a moment to rejoice, enhanced interactivity translates into enhanced fun, and it’s just around the corner.
