Wii/PS3 owners melancholic over New games crisis!

Richard Manley over gwn.com has rightly raised a very important issue that PS3 and Wii owners are suffering from new game crisis. All the game developers mainly targeted either the launch date of various consoles or few days or weeks after their shipment to the market.

The marketing strategy is quite apparent here behind launching their maximum no. of new and innovative game titles during the launch time of various consoles since they either actively or passively helped console manufactures make their launch schedule a successful venture.

The game developers targeted the launch date because they knew that the consoles' launch time can fetch them maximum profit and that's why they tried to extract maximum out of that occasion.

The game developers have made their profit but what now? As almost all the next-gen platforms are currently undergoing new game crisis that is likely to last till Mid-2007. However, a little fanatic effort of Nintendo by launching four new VC titles is a pretty nice effort to eradicate the dearth but seems to be insufficient.

Let's hope that any third party developer unexpectedly launches some handfuls of new and innovative titles onto the various next-gen platforms, otherwise we have no way out to drive safe the game title scarcity.
