
Hype meets reality as the new sequel in the Wild Arms series titled Wild Arms 5 by Media. Vision made its debut on alleged platform PS2, across North America, this August. The newcomer in the series is already out in Japan but, pining for the release date to be announced for the Europe as well. A latest confirmation coming from 505 Games has set November 30th, 2007 as the launch date for Europe.
However, the game was previously rumored for next year release, but debunking all speculations, the developer has slated the game for this year’s release only.
Wild Arms 5 features a brand new cast of characters in an all-new story and return of acclaimed HEX battle system from the previous game. The game takes place in Wild West inspired locations with mesmeric music and character customization; clothing of characters reflects a time when outlaws ruled.
The game follows the journey of a group of young travelers as they attempt to unlock the mysteries of their desolate land and get involved in a conflict that will decide the fate of the world.
Few key features of the game are:
• Epic HEX battle system, with all-new features such as interchangeable abilities between party members, varied battlefield layouts, and the ability to switch party members during battle
• Completely explorable 3D world with tons of hidden quests and mini-games to unleash
• Dual pistol-wielding allowing the player to shoot various types of bullets in order to solve puzzles, joining the returning action elements of jumping, sliding, and stomping on the field map
• Plenty of cameo appearances and other surprising stuff for diehard ’series’ loyalists
Developed exclusively for the PS2 system, Wild Arms 5 (T-rated by the ESRB) will be up for grabs on November 30th in Europe.
