The Battlefield 2 World Tournament sign-ups have officially been opened. It is a free online tournament with players and teams competing from all around the globe. The contestants will join up to take on other countries in order to crown their country champion of the Battlefield 2 World.

And the best part of the story is that gamers can participate in the battle from home on their own PCs. Sponsors for the tournament are EA Games, NVIDIA, Alienware, AMD, Branzone, Logitech, and Corsair. The World Tournament has a prize pool worth an estimated $20000 going to the top teams and best players.
