Just about two months back, a new RTS named World in Conflict from developer Massive Entertainment, signed up for closed multiplayer Beta for all the game enthusiasts that is still running. The publisher received a highly encouraging feedback as they set their intriguing RTS out for Beta and found that the new RTS genre set for PC release is one of the most anticipated titles of the year.

A question that was creating a great flux around is ‘will be we able to play the great RST of the year on next-gen consoles?’ The developer just gave ear to our plea and announced the game for Microsoft next-gen platform, Xbox360. Not only that the site BritXbox also confirms the game for Sony’s PS3 as well. The site says that the source is very close to Sierra and says that the game will be hitting two next-gen platforms, as it see its launch later this year.
Though, the game will be hitting PC platform during third quarter this year, but there is no information about its shipment to the next-gen consoles.
World in Conflict presents a terrifying, authentic Cold War scenario between Soviet and America. It is author Larry Bond, who is the mender of the storyline of the game who sets the story back in 1989 as the Soviets, fearing certain collapse, boldly advance into Europe. NATO responds the proxy-war with invasion in which the players take on the role of field commander, leads the powerful military machines campaign to get American cities and suburbs back. The RTS gameplay content comes with completely caustic 3D battlefields, aggressive team-based multiplayer action and a fast and irresistible battle.

If the news turns out to be a true, it will be yet another RTS following Tom Clancy's EndWar, coming to Xbox360. Previously, the publishers were skeptical to announce nay strategy based games for next-gen consoles, and we could hardly find any RST coming to these high potential consoles, but now with bringing World in Conflict to the next-gen portals, Massive has started a new era. However, currently there is nothing official in aforementioned description, so stay tuned for official confirmation.
