The Burning Crusade has become the first ever PC game to score such a high within just 24 hours of its availability.

North America's 1.2 million and European 1.1 million transactions contributed to the massive total of 2.4 million.

The Burning Crusade is the expansion subjected to the World of Warcraft that was simultaneously released in North America, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia on Jan 16th and on Jan 17th in Australia and New Zealand. Alone World of Warcraft with no expansion pack also afforded 1.7M and by the evening they all logged in to update their latest title.
Applauding the great success of The Burning Crusade president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime says that the game has already exceeded even our most ambitious expectations and they are pleased that millions of the gamers across the globe are eager to get their ands on newly flashed content.
The title of biggest MMORPG is also associated with WOW as more than 8 million players played the online game, worldwide, with more than 2 million in North US and more than 1.5 million in Europe who collectively made it the most successful subscription based MMORPG in the PC history.
