World of Warcraft has signed up over six million people. This means, WOW has surpassed a real-life country - Norway - in terms of population.

Of the six million players, more than a million are from Europe. This figure is based on the number of punters who have paid a subscription fee or purchased a prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the installation box bundled with one free month access.
Also included in the figures are Internet Game Room players that have accessed the game over the last thirty days.
So do we see that WOW becoming one of the most populous states in the world in the next ten years?
