I remember playing an early iteration of Worms on PC. Some of you may remember it from an appearance on Xbox Live Arcade about two years back. In either case, European lovers of the title will soon have it on PlayStation Store (it is already available on the US PSN). Worms will wriggle for £7.99 on European PlayStation Store this Easter. Team 17 has promised that this appearance will see Worms in an expanded and honed avatar. Better graphics, 1080p support, retro-styled landscapes, additional weapons (including Holy Hand Grenade, Super Sheep and Concrete Donkey) and a variety of team voices are some of the improvements that have been touted. Team 17, an independent developer based in the UK, has been charming us with this addictive game for over a decade now. As another improvement, it has promised that Worms will come with a combat mode – for up to four players – either offline or via PSN. Euro gamers are in for some serious fun. (An oxymoron to end this bit…Wow!)
