Giving a bit more expansion to its wrestling horizon, THQ has finally announced the expected upcoming sequel to its well appreciated ‘WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise. The sequel is WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 that THQ has announced will be supporting more platforms than previous.

In addition to its previous platforms i.e. PS2, PSP, and Xbox360, the game will be playable at PS3, Wii, and Nintendo DS as well. The game is set for launch sometimes this Fall season.

Until now, the PS2, PSP, and Xbox360 owners were able to enjoy the wrestling goodness wile others with PS3 or Wii were lacking it but now with pioneering its way to the new orb, it has opened new doors to the beloved wrestlmenia.

Last year, a PS3 version was underway but due to some unidentified reasons, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 could not see dawn at PS3 premises.

No doubt, the game developer would have high hopes as the game is landing at two entirely new next-gen platforms. Both next-gen versions will be making a good use of motion sensing features of its controllers while DS version will come with new scopes with its touch screen capability.

The game will be featuring eight Superstar Fighting Styles that differentiate wrestlers from one another. Besides, one more key addition is the new Struggle Submission System that gives users unique wrestling skills and the ability to adjust how much pressure their holds have.

SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 is hitting multiplatform sometimes this Fall, till then keep fingers crossed.
