Get ready for some mech fighting, old school (not too old actually). We knew this was coming after Famitsu posted some tasty shots and then Sega Japan kinda gave it away. Now American and European offshoots of Sega have sent to flight the classic Virtual On, which will be landing on Xbox Live Arcade this “spring”. Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (known as VOOT for ease) is a favorite of the Dreamcast fans, what with its immersive gameplay and twin-stick control; which by the way will not be shipped. VOOT is considered as the best game in the series, which, if I’m correct, had four outings. Sega’s press release cites some major improvements in the arcade classic for the new generation console. Improved graphics and online multiplayer mode for some stinging one-on-one action are guaranteed. The players have a choice of 15 playable virtuoids and the single player action takes place through 10 Arcade and 14 Score attack stages. The press release is silent on the number of MS points that this title would cost. Expect things to become clearer by…well, spring, of course.
