Xbox 360 game uses porn Mods to further ratings

A report posted yesterday showed that militant groups like Al-Qaeda use Mods and a sequel to to spread terrorism. This can be today's report, which speaks of increasing the ratings of video games by adding porn Mods to the video games. The most talked about Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is charged with scenes of nudity in its Mods. Game developer Bethesda Softworks puts the blame on Modders in the following words:

Modders have used a third-party tool to hack into and modify an art archive file to make it possible to create a mesh for a partially nude female that they add into the game.

As per the statement of the developers, the porn scenes were not hidden from the notice of the Electronic Software Ratings Board (ESRB). On the contrary, report shows that it was the instruction of the ESRB to rate the video game as 'Mature' along with an insistence to incorporate partial nudity in the scenes. As per the Company:

Nothing was hidden from the ratings agency and no effort was made by Bethesda to lobby or influence the agency for any particular rating.
This is not the only game to have porn Mods, but Bethesda has also included the Hot Coffee Mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

This comes as a shock; how can the most popular pastime of kids and young gamers be filled with porn stuff? If this is business in the gaming industry then it is sheer unprofessional and against business ethics. This also gives a reminder to the cyber police that they need to be more alert and responsible.
