Microsoft has slashed prices of Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on (yet again). In July last year they dropped the price from $199 to $179 and also announced 5 free HD DVDs to go with it.

This time drop is of massive $50 and it will be retailing at $129. Price drop will be effective in United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This was announced on Major Nelson’s official website. But it’s like hoping against hope as I don’t even see a reason to invest $129 in dieing technology.
