Microsoft's much-anticipated next-generation gaming system is set to hit store shelves in North America at midnight tonight. But many shops have already sold the units they have available, said Michael Labute, a staffer at Electronics Boutique in Sunridge Mall.
Labute, a shop owner in Calgary who is going to sell the Xboxes from tonight called the demand for the Xbox 360 as 'insane' adding that all the 68 of the initial delivery is already spoken of!
It is the same story all over. Jason Anderson, Xbox Canada's head of marketing, said that
"We're going to be the hottest product this holiday and Nov. 22nd is probably going to be one of the biggest retail days of the year'.
And why not? With the demand matching the hype, I wouldn't be too surprised if MS sold over 3 million consoles by the end of February.
