A special limited edition of Electronic Arts' 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany will be released for Japanese Xbox 360 on April 27, 2006. This was announced by Microsoft Japan
GamaSutra quoting GameSpot says that the bundle will be limited to 10,000 units, and will include an Xbox 360 with
a) hard drive,
b) controller, and
c) remote control,
Along with the above, it will also include freebies like
a) An Xbox 360 Adidas Japan Blue faceplate,
b) An Adidas Japan Blue original bandana, and
c) A copy of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany title.
The faceplate will feature the colors of the Japanese national soccer team.
Now that might be helpful to lift the sale of Xbox 360s in Japan for it actually didn't perform as it was expected of it.
