First of all “XomB” is actually pronounced as Zombie, huh! And second of all it seeks to take the undead where they haven’t been before (well, at least in a game setting) – feudal Asia. XomB is a new title announced by 3G Studios, meant for PC, handhelds, and next-gen consoles. Players will be called on to battle hordes of the undead to prevent “Darknes” from spreading and taking over the landscape and souls of the innocent.

The player will learn to alternately fight and control the force as they liberate the slaves of the conquered lands. This tale is very dark and draws heavily upon the unique world of Asian mythology.
Now, me says we’ve had enough of zombies elsewhere and a little uncharted territory could only do good for this overplayed genre. And as much as I love the RE series, zombies need a change too. 3G has promised more details and screenshots of XomB (once again, it’s called zom-bie) soon. I’ll snoop around their site regularly I promise.
