The latest WiiWare game from Japan is Aero Guitar, a new take on the Guitar Hero/Rock Band craze. The game is all set for release by Yudo in Japan and there are plans of releasing the game in US and Europe as well. However, the company is tight lipped about the release date. Aero Guitar lets players experience playing a guitar, using the Wiimote as a virtual instrument. The game’s interface mimics other Japanese rhythm games such as Namco’s Taiko Drum Master, requiring that players tap buttons in synch with icons that scroll across the screen.
The game will be introduced with a set of songs and there is a plan of introducing paid downloads, both pro and amateur music could be downloaded. The company refers to this as “User Generated Content,” suggesting that the entry barriers won’t be too high.
All the lovers of rhythm games are itching to lay their fingers on the board.
