We wouldn’t really expect downloadable content for games to be available until some time after their release. But that’s where we’d all be wrong. Phantasy Star started selling today (well, officially so anyway) and already Sega has made downloadable content available for it. The biggest PSP RPG of this summer already has a couple of download missions – one each for single and multiplayer mode. Gamers can get these either from the in-game menu or from this link on a PC. For a series that has been around for what 21 years now, Phantasy Star still continues to make fans happy. Expect more content soon and if you’ve already spent 5,040 yen, get downloading.
