October 2009 will provide some much needed scares on Wii. That much is sure after XSEED Games announced JU-ON: The Grudge for the console. Inspired by the Japanese horror flick “JU-ON”, which came out as “The Grudge” in America, the game is touted as a “Haunted House Simulator”. With original creator of the movie, Takashi Shimuzu onboard as creative consultant, JU-ON: The Grudge is expected to put instant scares for the gamers as its priority. Wii Remote is to be used as a flashlight as players go on exploring with a touch of a button haunted areas such as an abandoned warehouse, a creepy hospital, and a mannequin factory. Even more interesting is the way a second remote can be used in the game. As a player walks through the spooky environment, his trusted friend can push the button on a second Wii Remote to accelerate the in-game events and thereby speed up the scares as well. So you’d do well to choose a trusty second player. Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games would have your mother play alongside. He says:
JU-ON: The Grudge makes quick scares accessible to anyone with a Wii, players can even hand the Wii Remote to their mother and enjoy watching her play and get scared.
